Another West Nile virus case was found

Gradually West Nile virus cases are increasing in Boston from 3 to 5 cases. Health officials of Suffolk County had identified two more cases on Friday, who were living in Babylon. Two cases belong to same age. Only one of three is currently treated in a physical rehabilitation center and other two were at hospitals.

Nassau County had identified two West Nile virus cases this summer. Officials said that was caused by the infected mosquitoes, which may cause very severe illness and death in some cases. Nearly 43 human infections were identified and recoded four deaths since 1999.

In Stroudsburg this mosquito was identified on 17th August .Nearly 289 mosquitoes were taken and tested, only one was confirmed as positive for West Nile. Out of 21 counties tested, Monroe had recorded one positive test case for West Nile virus.

In order to prevent the disease, people must not walk outside between dusk and dawn and by wearing long pants, shoes, socks incase if you need to go outside. Wearing light color clothes might keep mosquitoes away acts as mosquito repellent.

Mosquitoes’ mostly live in stagnant water, so try to eliminate stagnant water near to house. Moreover, Government would daily spray insecticides for prevention of virus.
